We dug in when we got home and it tastes like it looks, for you see, peppermint is the operative word here. This is fresh off the Christmas tree peppermint taste. Yes it's light ice cream, but this is an ice cream sandwich, so you don't really think about it. Instead, I seem to be thinking more about the blue bunny chocolate wafers which are always a bit dry. I've never had the chocolate ones not be dry. It's not awful, but be warned.
On Second Scoop: At just 150 calories and respectable fat content, I couldn't help myself and went for a second sandwich a few hours later. What can I say, I needed to slice one for the picture above and I didn't want to just throw it in the trash after that. The second sampling was worth it to because I realized the dry, almost crunchy wafers make your mind flash back to the last box of thin mints you bought from the girl scouts. I know it's not exactly the same, but that's what I'm thinking about right now.
These are decent little treats that I wouldn't mind picking up once a season. I'd say it might be more than that, but how can I say this: The peppermint taste kind of sticks with you for awhile. Peppermint in general sticks with you, but imagine it mixed into ice cream that pretty much coats everything when you eat it. It's not the end of the world, I just suggest having a drink before you eat these and not the other way around.

On Third Scoop: Ok, I'm bored already...
Update: I never did finish the box, they're still sitting in the back of the freezer, they're just not my taste.
2012 Update: With mint in full effect this year, I wonder if I would appreciate these more.... if they still make them that is, I haven't seen them yet.
