Limited Edition Turkey Hill Frozen Yogurt
PomBlueberry Chocolate Truffle

We're going to keep this short and simple.

The Good News:
Turkey Hill makes a fine frozen yogurt and I can't wait to try one of their other flavors.

The Bad News:
I REALLY don't like the actual flavor of this particular frozen yogurt

The description of this flavor is Pomegranate Blueberry low fat frozen yogurt with dark chocolate fudge truffles. I enjoyed Hola Fruta's Pomegranate Blueberry Sherbet so much that I just assumed I would enjoy this as well... but to me, this flavor combo is much better served by a sherbet rather than by an ice cream or frozen yogurt. It needs a bite and clarity that this sweet style frozen yogurt can't provide.

You can see it's got a decent ice cream look to it, they've definitely put some work into getting a good texture going. There are also more than enough truffles in there. They are somewhat soft and have a fine flavor to them. You know, if I took off the labels I bet you would be visually hard pressed to tell this from Turkey Hill's Cold Churned Raspberry Chocolate Chunk

Did I mention this limited edition flavor probably isn't available anymore since I actually bought it a few months ago. I don't have my turkey hill calendar handy, but I think this was the Jan-Mar special flavor (apparently I need to clean my desk again). Anyway, I'm not knocking quality here, we just need to chalk this one up to a flavor that I just don't care for. The only question is.... what will I do with the rest of it?

'til next time!

Correction: "Limited Edition" PomBlueberry is available all year (2010) according to their Calendar
Update: Pomblueberry is the Sept 2012 Limited Froyo of the Month

  1. Great pics as always, Dubba. If you weren't a fan of the PomBlueberry Chocolate Truffle, you might think about trying our new Honey Vanilla Granola Frozen Yogurt. A very different flavor in terms of taste and texture, especially with the bits of chewy granola in there.
