Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean Light Recipe Ice Cream Sandwiches
Creamy light vanilla bean ice cream between chocolate wafers
I've had a few light ice cream bars over the years and they are usually ok, but not fantastic. This is Turkey Hill's take on it and I've got my fingers crossed. Just like their light ice creams, Turkey Hill goes with the blue colored branding to let you know this is part of their light recipe collection. You can't go wrong with less fat.... unless it tastes horrible, at which point I will miss the fat immensely.
Ok, I'm not worried, Turkey Hill makes fine light ice cream, this should be decent.
Well I can't tell exactly what I'm about to eat, but at least I know it's from Turkey Hill!
On Second Scoop: This is the taste test that will matter since I'm going to take my time... must... take.. time... ok, I managed to take a bit more time, though it was still pretty fast going since it's a soft (light) ice cream... and the wafers are soft too. There are probably two points I should make. First, I can actually see vanilla bean flakes just as the name implies, so that's cool. No, you won't be blown away by vanilla flavor, but you know it's there, albeit mildly. Second, companies may try to spice a things up, but you can't beat a classic ice cream sandwich. To me, there needs to be a distinct chocolate flavor mixed with a creamy filling. Is this coolhaus? NO. Is this a excellent light weight snack? Yes.
Verdict? A Nice light snack
Buy Again? Ofcourse!

You can never go wrong with a good, old fashioned ice cream sandwich. Light ice cream or regular ice cream, they all rock.
