Ben & Jerry's Blueberry Vanilla Graham
A Greek Frozen Yogurt Review

[New for 2012, discontinued] Have you been patiently waiting for my next Ben & Jerry's Greek froyo review? Well....  it's not going to be worth the wait because it didn't go the way we all had planned. I will admit that it was more tolerable than my initial encounter with the Raspberry Fudge Chunk variety, but at this point, consider this the last B&J Greek Froyo review.

So here is my new acquaintance (you know I always say friend, but this is no friend of mine). Blueberry Vanilla Graham is Blueberry and Vanilla Greek Frozen Yogurts with a Graham Cracker Swirl. Only one of those words frightens me and even one of my favorite words (Graham) can't save the day.

It certainly looks like any other pint of B&Js, and it looks pretty enough doesn't it? I would say it looks delicious but that graham cracker swirl isn't quite bursting out like I had imagined. My first scoop was right into that graham cracker deposit and I had such high hopes that went POOF as that yogurt tang hit my tastebuds. I don't want to confuse you and make you thing it's tart, but there is no mistaking this is yogurt.

I know, I know, I'm a heathen who doesn't enjoy authentic yogurt tang, but oh well, that's life. My parents left me be for the most part and let me eat what made me happy. I've been on this dirt ball of a planet for awhile now and while my tastes have expanded greatly, I just don't foresee ever digging this stuff. It's like saying I'm going to wake up and like coffee one day. It's just not going to happen.

I had several more bites and the mild vanilla and blueberry flavors combine with the mild graham grit to try and cover up the (mild-ish) tang but it's still not working for me. The texture is fine and I could probably force a larger serving, but I just don't like it, so why should I push on? Sure I might justify it by digging for the swirl, but that will just wreck the pint for anyone else who wants to try this one.

I'll leave my wife's opinion for the second scoop, but for me, I'm done. At least I got this one for $3.49 instead of $5.39. Oh well, time to move on to some better tasting stuff.

On Second Scoop: I knew my wife wouldn't have an issue taking care of this pint for me. She doesn't love it, but she enjoyed it enough to have about half the container on her first serving, so take that for what it's worth. With that said, my final point will be that this is a well made product that will be enjoyed by some, just not me.

Verdict?  Didn't like it
Buy Again?  Nope (unless my wife get's hooked)

  1. Yes, I've been waiting for this review! For some reason I thought maybe it would be sweeter. I don't think I would enjoy the tangy/tart thing either.

It also looks like it needs more graham cracker.

  2. Ben & Jerry's is my favorite ice ream brand and my wife loves their frozen yogurt flavors. The other night I brought home a couple of pints, Cherry Garcia ice cream for me and this Greek Blueberry Vanilla Graham for wifey. I figured since she actually likes regular Greek yogurt that she would enjoy this. Not the case.

  4. I think it's one of the worst B&J flavors. I like blueberries, but Blueberry-flavored things aren't often as good. And yes, it needed a lot more swirl. Boring flavor, didn't even get through half of it... and I finish the pint 4 out of 5 times. -Chad

  5. What a shame, I guess I could always pick up the strawberry version and use that for my guest post if I don't devour the pint before taking photos this time=p

    1. I'm not complaining strawberry shortcake seems tempting enough and I'm fine with a little bit of the greek yogurt funk so maybe it'll be halfway decent=]

  6. I always have a few random pints of B&J in my freezer that my family eats up pretty quickly...this is the only one that has remained with no more than two bites taken out of it for the past two weeks

  8. I just had it tonight. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. It's kind of a weird flavor. It's smooth, yet tangy, but the graham swirl really messes with the texture. I'll probably finish the pint, if my sister doesn't first, but next time, I'm going for the strawberry. Haven't heard anything bad about that one yet.

  9. I have tried this and the Strawberry Shortcake Greek Frozen Yogurt and this one was my favorite of the two, although I enjoyed the strawberry shortcake a lot. I absolutely loved this one, especially the graham cracker swirl which was like magic! Both flavors are winners for me.

  11. Couldn't disagree more. This is one of my favorite B&J's FroYo flavors. I just wish my supermarket carried it on a more consistent basis

  15. Jesus please bring this flavor back. It is the only mix I could eat every day for over long periods of months as a deterrent from other higher-calorie options.
