Baskin-Robbins Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
Cheesecake flavored ice cream loaded with cheesecake pieces & a strawberry flavored ribbon
Side note: pricing was a little confusing. The board said 5.29 a quart, the case said 2 for 9.99, and then it actually rang up as $5.69. In other words, next time I'm getting two. These also had a bunch of cakes and a few packs of their cakes bites (mint and praline caramel to be specific).
Whoa, I wasn't expecting that!!
This one really is an eyefull, isn't it?
On Second Scoop: I was still full from the nutty Oreo flavor so I just had two bites of this the first time. I went back tonight for a more robust serving (while trying not to steal too much). Basically it's strawberry first, which is just the way I like it. It's cheesecake second, and it's mild at that. You know it's there, but nothing crazy, just pleasant and enjoyable.
Now the cake bites are kind of dry, but I'm wondering if that's related to our long trip since I didn't notice the dryness when we first got home. They are dense, and if you get them by themselves, you realize they are actually cheesecake flavored. It's like some kind of funky cheesecake cookie. It's very cool and a nice touch on this flavor.
Ok, that's all I got on this one since I left most of it for my wife. She definitely enjoyed it, my daughter not so much (not that I expected her to). You know, I don't know why every Dunkin Donuts doesn't have a Baskin-Robbins display case inside every store or at least at the bigger DDs..... Though I guess you usually pick up DD on the way to where you are going and not on the way home to your freezer. Ahhhh.... how about Baskin-Robbins offerings in those gas stations that have built in Dunkin Donuts? It'd be nice and easy to hit those on the way home!
