Market Pantry Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Since Target is pretty inexpensive (and considering how much ice cream we go through), when I picked up the Cake & Sprinkles for my daughter, I picked out this flavor for my wife.

I expected a little more pizzazz, but maybe it's hiding....

Nope, not hiding.

I dig down, and still no pizzazz. See, it's a bit heavy handed with a cheese flavoring and a bit too stingy on the strawberry swirl. Overall it's not a bad flavor, and again we've got a real soft texture, but I personally would prefer a bit more balance between the two main flavors. You won't regret your budget friendly purchase, but it's the repeat buy that I'm questioning.

"Wait, what about the bits on the package cover?" Well, they're kind of a non-factor. They look cool enough, but this graham bit you see in the penny test is basically the biggest chunk I found. The bits just aren't big enough to provide that crusty balance that I love (and need) on a flavor like this.

Verdict?  Not terrible
Buy Again?  probably not

P.S.  How have I never seen this penny before?
P.S.S.  Wait, there were supposed to be strawberries in there? I don't remember them at all.
