Good Morning Nosh Show Listeners!
Can I ask you a question? Do you find the end of our show a little... flat? We understand a lot of you are already familiar with our Noshes of the week, so we're trying something new this week.
Whether you prefer the new last segment or the old, let us know so that we can continue to improve the show. You can
find links to show topics here,
download an mp3 here, and as always, thanks for listening! Oh, and have a good week!
First off, love the site! I make sure to check it every day.
ReplyDeleteI know this is off topic, but I'm about to place my second order from Ice Cream Source and wanted your expert opinion. Outside of a few (or a lot) of New Orleans Ice Cream and the Oreo flavors from Chocolate Shoppe, is there any brands/flavors you see as "must try"?
Thanks in advance!
Metsfan, I've ordered a couple of times from ics. Do you have any kind of flavor preferences/aversions? I'll be able to give you better recommendations knowing what you like or dislike.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I'm really not a fan of is mint flavors. Otherwise, if it's something good and comes recommended, I'm definitely all for giving it a shot (I will tell you that I can't wait to try both Oreo flavors from Chocolate Shoppe based off your reviews!)
ReplyDeleteI am trying to target some different types of flavors (the San Bernadino line has caught my eye with the Cannoli), but definitely am a lover of peanut butter flavors.thanks again!!
Good choice on those two for sure. I really have no problem recommending anything from Chocolate Shoppe. I'd say their Mackinac Island Fudge and if you like coconut, Coconut Almond Bliss would be the top of the remaining flavors offered. Heaps of Love sounds promising but I haven't had it.
ReplyDeleteCiao Bella might be something you look into since they recently updated their whole line up and the majority of flavors offered on ice cream source are no longer being produced. I can't really vouch for them since I've had limited access but if anything catches your eye you might want to grab it.
If you can't get Graeter's in your area, I would highly recommend their Black Raspberry Chip and since you love peanut butter, their Peanut BUtter Chocolate Chip.
San Bernadino is definitely an interesting brand. I'd say at least order a pint to see how they are. They told me they'll be sending me sample once their distribution expands a bit more so you'd have to wait for a real recommendation.
As for the rest fo the site, I really don't see too many must buys. If there's things you normally couldn't get around you and want to try go for it.
Be sure to let us now what you decide on ordering and your thoughts once you try the flavors!
