The other day I badly needed a kick to get me through the rest of the day, so I headed over to the gas station to grab my beloved Rock Star fruit punch.Well, what do I see out of the corner of my eye? An entire freezer section devoted to Hershey's Ice Cream (it's a pretty big gas station, it also has a Dunkin Donuts). Anyway, Nick's already reviewed two of their flavors with respectable results, so I think it's my turn to dig in.

Alright, one last pumpkin review to wrap up the fall season (side note: this is a lie, there'll be one more next week). Now I've spent the last several weeks thinking about writing some nice heartfelt post about how we should appreciate every moment of holiday family time. Sure the holidays can seem like a chore but some day you'll be looking back going "remember when grandma cooked that" or "remember when the kids did that" or whatever. Ahhh, I'm too tired to be sentimental, just try to enjoy Thanksgiving and we'll leave it at that. Let's get to the ice cream!

Trader Joe's Salted Caramel Gelato

[By Nick] After receiving multiple requests to review this gelato from Trader Joe's, I finally caved in and bought it. It takes a lot for me to buy a base only flavor as you all know. I love my mix-ins and feel there's only so much a base flavor can be on its own. That's said, I've had great luck with other similar base only gelatos from GS Gelato and The Fresh Market so it was only fair I gave Trader Joe's a shot as well.

We also recap Marvo's runt-filled Halloween failings and everyone's apparent love of Reeses... or money, we had a bit of trouble agreeing on exactly why Ryan got almost half of your votes.

Since followup was a bit light this week, we took a minute to discuss the new overpriced Croissant Donut from Dunkin Donuts. While it's not a bad product, it's plenty tasty enough, it just reminds me way too much of the larger and cheaper DD coffee roll that I adore (it's a giant glazed cinnamon roll basically). [By Nick] I can't be the only one who has days when they just want to eat a ton of chocolate and peanut butter, right? I mean, it's one of the greatest combinations of all-time. Sadly, it's not the healthiest combo, especially when it comes to ice cream. Dubba always preaches moderation and I try to follow those same guidelines. When I saw that Perry's was offering a "perfectly churned" light version on this combo when I was at the Niskayuna Co-op, I knew I had to pick it up just in case I was having one of those days.
