Dairy Queen Grasshopper Mousse Pie Blizzard
Cool Mint, graham pie crumbles, choco chunks, and whipped topping
blended with creamy vanilla soft serve
I don't usually like DQ's whip cream, but it really works here. These first several bites are really good. In fact, I wish I hadn't tried to inhale them so I could get the following picture.
See, once the whip cream is gone, this one becomes... a bit less complex. There was a magic happening on those first several bites and now that magic is gone. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of graham flavor throughout the blizzard and the plentiful thin chocolate shards are a delight to crunch, but as a whole, I want more.... I need more!
This is one of those products that kind of drives me nuts because it's not bad, and in general I do give a big thumbs up to any of the mint blizzards, but I just got bored and I know I shouldn't have. Sorry for being so picky on this one, but I'll stick with the Mint Oreo blizzard for now.
Verdict? bring your own whip cream
Buy Again? not as is
FYI: CT from nerdlunch found the April blizzard of the month: Salted Caramel Truffle
I ordered a large, which was a huge mistake. Not only was the whip long gone, but by the end I was pretty sick of my graham cracker taste. I was jealous of my friend ordered the Mint Oreo, as Dubba wisely recommended. Oh well, at least DQ is trying new things!
