(Target) Archer Farms Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream
chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups
Boring opening shot...
Oh wait, found one. Weird, I think I taste coffee now.
Do I like this one? Sure, it's an easy win at this price point. It's a rather light ice cream that's making for a neat afternoon snack. Now, I've had several cup chunks and I'm still trying to nail the flavor down. Maybe a bit wheat-y? Iunno. They aren't totally flat like B&J's cups, but they are by no means Reese's caliber either. I think they are growing on me which is good because I'm approaching the half pint mark here.
Ok, half way done and now I've got wheat on my brain. I didn't have any more cups, just more of the swirl, and the flavor was... different. I don't want to say it's bad just yet, but at least this pint's not flat like their plain chocolate. Let's see how the second scoop goes on Monday.
On Second Scoop: While this won't be winning any awards any time soon, it's not a bad afternoon snack. My particular problem is that while the majority of bites are decent and enjoyable, some are a little weird. I like the overall complexity of the flavor, but it's just odd how you'll get a bite that seems off now and then. Why did I just say that twice? If you try this, let me know if you have a similar experience. Maybe you'll be able to tell if it's the cups, the base, or the peanut butter that's throwing me off.
Verdict? not bad for a store brand
Buy Again? maybe
