Now it's gluten free and vegan, which isn't my usual jam, but what matters to me is that it's nut and dairy free! So that means my son will be helping me try these.
My biggest critique would be that I wanted something a little more buttery but on the plus side, I think it has a better texture than the Big Dipper cookie dough I tried over the summer. See, I need grit in my cookie dough, I want to feel like these components have just come together. I get that more here than I did with Big Dipper.
pre-baked appearance
Now my son only tried a little because it's still not his thing yet, but what he did devour was the chocolate cookies. I got one, my wife got one, and he inhaled the other ten (in a few sittings, not all at once). He loves chocolate chocolate chip cookies and he made short work of these. I probably wouldn't buy these all the time since it works out to 50 cents per fairly small cookie, but it's nice to have the safe option available for him.
Verdict? Good!
Buy Again? Yup!
But if you are going to be eating it as a cookie, is it really anything special, you might as well get bake-first only then, right?
ReplyDeletei may have read that wrong but here goes: you can bake the edible version, but I don't think I would buy it for that purpose, I would buy the bake-only version if I planned on baking it.
ReplyDeletedid I answer correctly? (it's early)
i think so---don't bother with edible cookie dough unless you want to eat it raw
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a bit too hard to scoop from the container, pre-made portions much easier to manage
