Dove Gelato Salted Caramel Bars

[for 2019 only] So these were new for last year and it appears they are already disappearing.... kind of like the review that I swore I wrote but is no longer here. Ugggg. This is why I don't post as much as I used too... do I write these reviews in my dreams or something? Anyway....

Do you think this is a cool looking bar? Maybe it loses something in translation, but I think this is an excellent looking bar that tastes as good as it looks. I bring this up because my photo of this bar fell totally flat on instagram. Miles behind any other photo I've taken recently.

Regular readers know that I've never understood the salted caramel craze, but the cool thing here is that this is more about the toffee bits than the salted caramel gelato. That is not a knock because there is a pretty unique texture/flavor combo going on here. There's just a nice complexity that is generated. I had quantified the flavor more specifically in that (imaginary?) post I wrote, but this is a nice bar.

If you happen to see a box of these on clearance (and it's not all beat up), I would give them a try, though at this point you probably won't find them

On Second Scoop: The third bar was better than the second bar which was better than the first bar. I highly enjoyed these and I should have grabbed that other box that was on clearance when I saw it. It's a shame these are one (year) and done.

History note: definitely not as salty as the caramel cashew bars from a few years ago.

Foot note: I still have a few new products in the pipeline, I'll try to get cracking on the reviews. I think the biggest problem is that I spend all day at my desk and so have no urge to sit at my desk for a few more hours at night to prep reviews.
