[New for 2021] I know I'm a year late on finally picking these up, but I just don't hit Target very often, and if I do, it's usually not right before I head home. Well, I had to run out late Thursday for an emergency school supply run, and I figured if I'm out, why not finally give Target's latest inhouse brand/branding a shot. Let's start with...
Favorite Day Gourmet Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
cheesecake-flavored ice cream with blueberry pieces and graham cracker swirl
That seems a little presumptuous..
This looks not right to me...
My first few bites are definitely a little icy / watery, and that's not a good sign... several bites in and I detect neither cheesecake flavor or a graham factor. Not cool....
this looks nothing like the picture on the pint, and I get that happens, but this is just a blueberry ice cream and nothing more right now.
On Second Scoop: I dug to the bottom and I don't see any graham swirl... It definitely smells like blueberry ice cream... This is not what I paid for. Don't buy it unless you want a so-so blueberry ice cream. Man, I hope the other three pints I bought are better than this one!
Verdict? booooooring
Buy Again? not this flavor!
Buy Again? not this flavor!
no cap, i saw favorite day ice cream at stop and shop, you know how that is even possible?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the warning. Any idea who makes these for Target?
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to review the new Gifford's small batch pint flavors? They're suppose to be at Hannaford's
ReplyDelete@Anon: I can head to Hannaford next week to see if I can find them!
ReplyDelete@Joe: Plant 39-111 means Ohio. Could be SmithFoods as they do say that they do private label stuff.
@RG: I saw this too! On occasion, a pint falls off the truck and in to the wrong store. It's rare, but it happens.
Hannaford was a let down, no Gifford's pints, nor the new Talenti flavor (I'll try stop & shop for that one)
