[New for Early 2020] First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Second, I never found that Talenti special batch caramel gingerbread gelato despite visiting several different grocery store chains. Third, I gotta post something, so let me chime in and say that these kit kat branded things are terrible. Granted, I have a fairly strong disdain for all Nestle / Edy's / Dreyer's products at this point in my life, but I need to point out how near flavorless these foolish things are.

The problem is that I remember how awesome Snickers ice cream bars were in the early 90s. Those things were fan-freakin-tastic. We were always snagging them from my buddy's freezer because they were such an excellent snack. Snickers were amazing back then and the ice cream bar version was as good or even better (though do I really have to choose? can't I just have both back in my life?)
So if by chance you haven't tried these yet, don't bother. If you have tried them, please chime in with your thoughts. I'm probably being at least a little harsh on these, plus they still make them, which means someone is buying them.
On Second Scoop: I think maybe I got the smidgy-est of flavor on the 3rd or 4th bar, but why bother even eating these? I'd rather just have a regular kit kat. Heck, I'd trade this entire box for a snack size kit kat right now.
Verdict? useless
Buy Again? never
Buy Again? never
I would had done like a sandwich style with actual kit kat wafers.
ReplyDeleteDubba I totally agree with your idea that ice cream was better in the 90s. Being born in 82 my childhood fun was built around frozen novelties. Today its just so disappointing! They say things happen in cycles, I'm just hoping an ice cream brand will realize this and cycle back.
ReplyDeleteI really miss how awesome Breyers used to be. A staple in my house. We thought we just got a dud carton when it started getting gummy but no! That was the new normal. Bleh.
DeleteBreyers was my favorite as a kid. I went through so many half gallons of rocky road :)
