Have you tried Graeter's Midnight Snack?

[New for 2022] I was at Wegman's when I spied this wonderful sounding flavor.

Graeter's Midnight Snack Ice Cream
chocolate covered pretzels, mini peanut butter cups,
and brownies in malt ice cream

Man I need to try this one. Graeter's quality + brownies + pretzels + peanut cups + a fun malt base? Yes please on all counts. Can anyone confirm how tasty this one is?

So this was their "Mystery Flavor" for 2022 (announcement is here), but I don't see a mystery flavor for 2023. Instead I see talk of five limited edition "bonus flavors" for the year. First came Dough'licious, then Hot Honey Crunch, and now they've announced Lemon Meringue Pie. It's tart lemon candies and crunchy pie crust pieces in a lemon marshmallow ice cream. Wow, that sounds fun! If anyone tries any of these, please share your thoughts. Thanks!

  2. I actually just tried midnight snack because The Fresh Market had it. I was disappointed. I would have preferred a chocolate base and the mix ins were not impressive in quantity or quality. Im curious to know if you agree and will be watching for your review. Also I absolutely love Graeters. I currently have Key Lime Pie, Black Cherry Chocolate Chip and Fudge Brownie in the freezer. For A very, very short time they were carrying a brand from California, Mcconnells (?) and that was the best ice cream Ive ever had, period, end of story. But I cant get it locally anymore.

  3. Haha, when I read you question/headline, I immediately said out loud, "Yes!" Base flavor was more muted than expected, but all components were quality and merited the price tag.

  4. With the caveat that I tried it directly from a Graeter's store on a business trip, I thought it was very good. Not my favorite, but I would recommend trying it.

  5. Thanks for the comments everyone, and Anon, yeah, McConnell's has quite the reputation. They have them at Wegman's but I haven't tried them yet.

  6. McConnell's fan here too. They are the sweetest—-one time I wrote to the company about a pint I had with an off, maybe freezer-burnt texture, and you know how some companies send you a replacement coupon? Not McC's. They shipped me 5 free pints in all different flavors! Whaaaaa????! Amazing. And yes, they were delicious, and none freezer-burnt.

  8. Was really excited seeing the name of this, was hoping someone was coming closer to making their version of B&J Late Night Snack. Miss that one!

  9. I tried this and would not buy it again. I am not a fan of crunchy pretzel in ice cream. I also tried Key Lime Pie, which was better than Midnight Snack, although not notably better than an actual Key Lime Pie, which cost less money than this $6.50 pint. Their core flavors are better.
