Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Cookie Crumble Ice Cream Bars

Not specific branding for this particular bar, but I'll take it!

In the spirit of full disclosure: I bought these way back in March and they have been hiding in the basement freezer ever since. Maybe I was waiting for mowing season to start because you should know by now that I do love a good mid-mowing ice cream break. Anyway.....

I take my first bite on this Friday morning and it's delicious ofcourse! Has there ever been a Haagen-Dazs bar I didn't like? It's a quality shell on a quality ice cream, what's not to love?

To get in specifics, I do love how crunchy that the cookie pieces make the shell. You all know I love a good crunch and this one has that on every bite. I know it's probably not for everyone, and I would totally understand if someone said that they don't love how solid the bits are. I mean, I can tell I just ate something more solid than a regular chocolate coated ice cream bar.

I also love how there is premium ice cream in this bar. The Friendly's bars are fun and all, but then you eat a H-D bar and are reminded about how a quality bar should taste and feel.

There's no crazy combos going on here, just chocolate and sweet cream. It's a nice fun combo where the sweet cream accentuates the chocolate-ness. The overall treat kind of has a dark chocolate vibe to be honest (which is perfectly fine by me).

So yeah, this is delicious and I really want to eat another one right now.

History note: In regards to the other offerings, H-D did have dulce de leche caramel bars, but they had a caramel coating not a chocolate coating. There is also a picture from 2012 of mini vanilla milk chocolate bars in a variety pack from costco.

Final Note: I just noticed that those weird "soft dipped" bars went away at the end of 2022. YAY!
