[New for 2025] More new stuff already? Yup! I actually bought this before the churro stuff but only because I thought I would need it to pass the time until the good stuff came out.
Friendly's Salted Vanilla Fudge Ice Cream

The big chunks are certainly fun looking.
I take my first official bite and.... it's interesting. I think definitely sparks the fudge factor in to life and makes this seem like a non-typical flavor.
Those fudge chunks? Yeah, they'll fun. That are somewhat soft, but still fun to bite through.
Ummm, yeah, I actually really like this one. I think it would be kind of amazing in a pretzel cone... or maybe on a warm brownie. It really pops with flavor.
For a little more context, I had let my serving melt a bit while I took pictures, so I don't know if that helped at all. The melting ice cream mixing with the swirl is just a lot of fun.
So, wow, yeah, this makes a really good first impression.

On Second Scoop: I don't think I'd want a giant bowl of this ice cream, but a small serving really hits the spot. It can take a few fudge chunks to settle in, but once you do, it's just a really nice mainstream ice cream. I don't know how exactly, but the salt factor brings not just the flavor to life but also the texture. Nice job Friendly's!

I found this flavor yesterday and I was so excited to give it a try! I'll be honest, it didn't taste overpowering salty to me at all. I think the salt enhanced the chocolate flavor. It was delicious and I'd buy it again. When Turkey Hill got bought out and it seemed all the ice cream companies went downhill, Friendly's seems to remain as tasty to me as before. They're FDD is the only ones I'll eat.
