[New for Early 2025] I was running through Stop & Shop when I found two of the new bakery collection lineup. They didn't have Tiramisu, but they did have chocolate chip cookie batter and....

Talenti Snickerdoodle Cookie Bakery Collection Gelato Layers
snickerdoodle cookie gelato - cinnamon cookies - snickerdoodle cookie batter - vanilla gelato - cinnamon cookie pieces

Mmmmm, snickerdoodle cookie gelato.

Wait, where's the snickerdoodle cookie batter in this picture?! Oh wait, I see it poking through when I look at the nutrition label.

Also, the cookies look like the cookie pieces. Silly Talenti.
First up, the snickerdoodle layer that does taste like snickerdoodle I think. Kind of cinnamony but with other notes. It feels a little flat, but I guess that's why it's in a layered flavor.
Snickerdoodles next. Not super crunchy, but solid and fun. A little hard to dig through actually.... ok, quite hard to dig through. I think the cookie batter seeped in to the cookies and made a very solid divider between the snickerdoodle and the vanilla gelatos.
You know what their vanilla gelato is like, and basically, it's just a holder for all the cookie bits on your spoon.... let me revise that to say it's basically meh against the other components.
I just ate a huge clump of cookie batter and cookies. Mmmmm, sugar rush. Ooooo, fun snack idea. Poppable clumps of cookies and cookie batter. Mmmmm.
Few more bites and we'll call that a serving....
Ya know, now that the snickerdoodle layer has had time to temper, it is more enjoyable. I want to say that it almost has a frosty vibe to it.
So are you interested? Let me see if this wins you over (or scares you away). I want to say that the lingering aftertaste is definitely akin to what you would get after eating a bowl of cinnamon-y cereal (cinnamon toast crunch perhaps?).
On Second Scoop: I still think the top tastes like a cinnamon frosty, and I'm very confident in saying that the cookie batter is the best part of this one. The biggest problem with this one is the inconsistency of the layer thickness. I think that if they had gone with maybe a caramel gelato instead of a vanilla gelato, it may have helped hide that inconsistency. Overall, it may not be amazing, but it is fun.
Verdict? clumpy fun
Buy Again? probably
Buy Again? probably
It's been years since I purchased Talenti, and it's weird bc I used to buy it so frequently. Just doesn't appeal to me anymore...
