Baskin-Robbins Cookie Monster Ice Cream

[New for 2025] When I bought this next flavor, I bought it because it was blue, not because I was sure it was new. I just wanted it, plain and simple. I'm glad I did, because it's now my favorite of the at home flavors.

I had to break out the good camera because the cellphone wasn't doing this one justice.

There are three different major things going on here, plus the cookie bits have scattered throughout the ice cream which is always a good sign when it comes to cookies & cream flavors.

I like this one from the first bite. I got my hopes up when I removed the seal and opened the pint, but something clicked from that very first bite. Yes, I have been a fan of cookies and cream since I was a little kid, but I also have certain expectations with C&C. It's been around forever, so I expect companies to not mess it up (and yet, somehow they still do).

A good C&C has to have the wafer flavor dialed in. It needs to be distinct and omnipresent. Yes, hit me with bigger chunks sometimes, but I should be thinking both cookies and cream with every bite. I get that here.

So it's a really good C&C flavor on it's on, plus it's blue which makes it fun, but then the cookie parts comes in to play. There are the chocolate chip cookie pieces adding bits of flavor and then the cookie dough batter swirl giving little bursts of added sweetness. I was thinking about cookie dough and Oreo wafers at the same time, and that's what a cookie monster flavor should be.

So, yeah, really impressed on this one and I'm totally going back to the store to buy several more of these.

On Second Scoop: I think what's really amusing me is the diversity here. I'm constantly bouncing between the three inclusions and it just makes for fun scooping. Which one is going to dominate my next bite? I do think the sweetness might be a little too much for at least a few people, but I feel like this one lives up to the name, and that makes me happy.

Verdict?  so fun
Buy Again?  Yes!!
